After a very warm reception earlier this year at Pitch@Palace On Tour, we’re thrilled to have been selected to compete in the main event: The Duke of York’s flagship Pitch@Palace 11.0 pitch evening on the 12th June, held at the historic St James’s Palace in London. The event brings together a ton of entrepreneurs from the UK spanning all industries — from fintech to agriculture to software startups like yours truly.
Designed to amplify and accelerate the work of entrepreneurs & their businesses, Pitch@Palace (and the preparatory ‘Boot Camp’ event on the 8 May!) is supported by The Duke of York’s Office and brings together attendees and mentors including senior business leaders, investors, and influencers from across the technology, investment and business communities.
It’s always humbling to hear people enjoyed and were inspired by our pitch and what we’re doing at Doordeck, and it’s even more exciting to know we’ll get to do it again at St James’s Palace. I’m still going to push to get Doordeck on the gates of Buckingham Palace though.
–William Bainborough, Doordeck CEO.
Whilst we can’t personally invite you to come to St James’s Palace with us, we’ll be keeping you in the loop and posting all about it over on our Twitter feed closer to the time — so give us a lil’ follow there to get a right royal dose of Doordeck news.
Info for journalists:
Doordeck swaps your office keycard for the one key you’re already carrying: your phone. Unlike ‘smart locks’, Doordeck does it differently: entirely software-based, Doordeck leverages a building’s existing security system, adding secure, smartphone-based access to an entire building in under 15 minutes — no downtime, new hardware or costly installs required.
The Duke of York founded Pitch@Palace in 2014 to provide a platform to amplify and accelerate the work of Entrepreneurs. Since the initiative was set up, it has supported 851 businesses, creating 3,669 new jobs and generating over £900 million of new economic activity.
Pitch@Palace guides, helps and connects Entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses with potential supporters, including CEOs, Influencers, Angels, Mentors and Business Partners. Pitch@Palace aims to: create introductions to Mentors and Advisers; through its Audiences, provide access to Distribution Systems and Supply Chains; make Connections; and help with Investment.
